About Me

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to tell stories. There was a certain magic to the feeling of entertaining an audience. Whether that was through dance, theatre, film, photography, I had tried it all. Before the days of accessible photography on our phones and devices, I practically never went anywhere without my point and shoot Sony.

It was euphoric for me to capture my life in a visual way. Something that I could look back on with the ability to cherish many great memories with those I love. I decided to follow my passion in understanding how to cultivate emotionally moving imagery and moved to Toronto to study Film & Television Production.

While studying film, I decided that was not the route I wanted to take. After moving home and settling back in Nova Scotia, I tried experimenting with photography more in terms of using it for art therapy. I self taught my way into really understanding the technical side of the craft. The more creative I got with my styled sessions and edits, the more I realized that this hobby was turning into a full time commitment, I just wanted to learn more. Know more. I couldn't stop even if I tried.

In short, that is my story on how I got started in photography.

When I'm not working, you can usually find me snuggled up to my dogs, on my yoga mat or out hiking in the trails. An avid nature enthusiast, I strive to capture the beauty of the elements of the Annapolis Valley in my work.
